Well I finally got a response from the BBB.
COMPANY'S RESPONSE:
We are aware of the situation with the Williams sunroom and our
working to get both issues resolved as soon as possible. We do
regret that the communication from our production department and
the customers was lacking. We have received the parts from the
sunroom manufacturer to repair the sliding glass door. We have
contacted the customer and are going to have the work done
sometime the week of the 26th of May 2008. The leak was attempted
to be repaired on 5/16/08 and the installer did not let the
customer know that we had done that work which is probably why
they are frustrated. We are going to keep in contact with the
customer until both problems are resolved.
I will believe it when I see it! I Can't wait to see the "Parts" to repair the door.
The power of the internet (along with a unique company name) is awsome, if you search for Emil Susol in Google the following link is returned on the first page: Stay away from Emil Susol & Son - Vox
Stay tuned for pictures of the "Quality Work" they have provided as well as updates to this complaint.
Still no word from the BBB but I got a message from Emil Susol indicating that the "parts for the door" have arrived asking to arrange a time to repair the door. I can't imagine what the "parts" would be.
Lets hope they actualy show up and get the repairs completed so I can actually begin to use the Sun Room. It's been about 5 months since the construction started.
Every time I search for questions regarding programming I always get a return from Experts Exchange . This is a pay site and does not provide the answer.
Google needs to allow me to exclude domains from my search. Why does expert exchange come up in my search results anyway? The answer is not there and it is always placed above more appropriate search results. Looks like this site has figured out a way to bump up their results.
- I would also exclude any about.com page as well although they don't appear to be artificially inflating their place in the search results.
- I would also exclude any page that throws a pop up at me
I know I heard that Google was looking at this a while ago but there was an outcry. Lets give the power to the people searching to decide what they want in their searches. They already do something similar with "safe-search".
What an unexpected suprise to have Eric show up in the Office. Eric is a true Pens fan and has even contributed to the Pensblog. Not to be outdone by the Dave and the Other Dave, Eric hoisted the cup like a man!

I have still heard nothing from Emil Susol. I notified the Better Business Bureau. They say:
Your complaint will be forwarded to the company within two business days. The company will be asked to respond within 14 days, and if a response is not received, a second request will be made. You will be notified of the company's response when we receive it (or notified that we received no response). Complaints are usually closed within 30 calendar days.
I guess we see what happens now.
Well we needed a new sun room due to some heavy snow in the winter of 06. We went with Emil Susol and after some issues getting the insurance check ironed out they began work on our new 9'X17' sun room. The week of Christmas 2007.
The roof leaked from day one and the sliding glass door was not operational but they called regularly to get he remainder of the money. Unfortunately the only way you know if a leak is actually fixed is to have rain and they got the door semi-operational and they seemed pretty nice about. I was assured they would be good to their word and fix the leaks and the door. Boy was that a mistake. Since then it has rained and leaked and the door has actually begun to fall apart.
I was able to get Chris, the installer, to at least see the standing water in the sun room and they are in agreement that the door needs replaced.
I have not kept track of every call but it really doesn't matter because they do not keep their word and lie. I last called Ben (Salesman) on April 21st and expressed my displeasure in the fact that nothing is being done and I am tired of getting lied to. He assured me that it would be fixed by the weekend. I told him that I wanted to be informed about what was going on if that date couldn't be met.
Well, it's May 4th, and I havn't heard anything. We just want to furnish the sun room and finish the floor but we can't because of the door and the leak.
According to their website:
"Our Platinum Customer Care is built on one simple principle: we’re always here for you. All you have to do is call 814-864-5277 and tell us how we can help."
Feel free to call Emil Susol & Son and tell them that you want them to fix the sun room you read about on this web site. I'm sure they will know who's sun room you are talking about.
Let anyone you know who is looking to have work done and is considering Emil Susol about this experience.
The door has pulled away from the window as you can see from the envelope I slid between the door and the glass
