Goodby AT&T, You are no CellularOne
I have 2 lines on a CellularOne account and a pick your plan on AT&T. This is not a very cost effective way to have 3 lines so I began to explore my options.
I have been very happy with GSM technology and really enjoy the flexibility of swapping out sim chips. When AT&T bought out CellularOne I was pretty excited to see what they would bring to the table. After a visit to the AT&T store it was clear that customer service was not something they were going to bring to the proverbial table.
I am not stupid when it comes to cell phones and in most cases I know more about what they are talking about than they do. The salesman I was talking to was no exception but he didn't realize it. He ended up digging a pretty big hole. The worst part is that this was during the day and you would think that they would have their best employees working the weekdays. I was also informed that if I resigned my account that I would be losing my 18% employer discount.
I thanked the employee and told him that he Certainly helped me make my decision and gave him back his brochure as I walked out of the store.
We switched to Verizon were Tony took care of us. I have never had such great customer service. (I get a 22% discount)
