I have still heard nothing from Emil Susol. I notified the Better Business Bureau. They say:
Your complaint will be forwarded to the company within two business days. The company will be asked to respond within 14 days, and if a response is not received, a second request will be made. You will be notified of the company's response when we receive it (or notified that we received no response). Complaints are usually closed within 30 calendar days.
I guess we see what happens now.
Well we needed a new sun room due to some heavy snow in the winter of 06. We went with Emil Susol and after some issues getting the insurance check ironed out they began work on our new 9'X17' sun room. The week of Christmas 2007.
The roof leaked from day one and the sliding glass door was not operational but they called regularly to get he remainder of the money. Unfortunately the only way you know if a leak is actually fixed is to have rain and they got the door semi-operational and they seemed pretty nice about. I was assured they would be good to their word and fix the leaks and the door. Boy was that a mistake. Since then it has rained and leaked and the door has actually begun to fall apart.
I was able to get Chris, the installer, to at least see the standing water in the sun room and they are in agreement that the door needs replaced.
I have not kept track of every call but it really doesn't matter because they do not keep their word and lie. I last called Ben (Salesman) on April 21st and expressed my displeasure in the fact that nothing is being done and I am tired of getting lied to. He assured me that it would be fixed by the weekend. I told him that I wanted to be informed about what was going on if that date couldn't be met.
Well, it's May 4th, and I havn't heard anything. We just want to furnish the sun room and finish the floor but we can't because of the door and the leak.
According to their website:
"Our Platinum Customer Care is built on one simple principle: we’re always here for you. All you have to do is call 814-864-5277 and tell us how we can help."
Feel free to call Emil Susol & Son and tell them that you want them to fix the sun room you read about on this web site. I'm sure they will know who's sun room you are talking about.
Let anyone you know who is looking to have work done and is considering Emil Susol about this experience.
The door has pulled away from the window as you can see from the envelope I slid between the door and the glass
I'm sure you have seen specialty plates like a Penn State Alumni plate or a Presque Isle Partnership plate.
Did you ever wonder were these plates come from?
There are currently 189 Special Organization plates available and they are available for oganizations that meet the following criteria:
- Be a Non-profit organization;
- Have as one of its primary purposes, services to the community, which results in a contribution to the welfare of others;
- Be based, headquartered, have a chapter or licensed in Pennsylvania;
- Not be offensive in purpose, nature, activity or name, as determined by the Department;
- Guaranteed a minimum of applications (negotiable) before any plate will be produced.
In honor of Game 3 of the Eastern Conf Quarterfinals and in appreciation of The Mario Lemieux Foundation
There are many worthy organizations, and some not so worthy. You can see the whole list here.
Mike found this feature with twitter and thought I'd pass it along.
Taken directly from Twitter support page.
Get updates matching specific words, or topics of interest with the track feature. For example, for updates about the upcoming Coachella concert, send track coachella. To get the latest buzz about Austin, track SXSW . Track as many words as you want. What's the catch? It only works on phone and IM, no API or web tracking...yet!
- track word: starts tracking a word
- untrack word: stops tracking a word
- untrack all: stops tracking all words
- track off: stops tracking all words
- tracks or tracking: returns a list of words you're tracking
I have 2 lines on a CellularOne account and a pick your plan on AT&T. This is not a very cost effective way to have 3 lines so I began to explore my options.
I have been very happy with GSM technology and really enjoy the flexibility of swapping out sim chips. When AT&T bought out CellularOne I was pretty excited to see what they would bring to the table. After a visit to the AT&T store it was clear that customer service was not something they were going to bring to the proverbial table.
I am not stupid when it comes to cell phones and in most cases I know more about what they are talking about than they do. The salesman I was talking to was no exception but he didn't realize it. He ended up digging a pretty big hole. The worst part is that this was during the day and you would think that they would have their best employees working the weekdays. I was also informed that if I resigned my account that I would be losing my 18% employer discount.
I thanked the employee and told him that he Certainly helped me make my decision and gave him back his brochure as I walked out of the store.
We switched to Verizon were Tony took care of us. I have never had such great customer service. (I get a 22% discount)
Problem 1
Remember when I said I accidentally saved the ringtones at 11025HZ? I am now remembering why I encoded at that setting.
The Macromedia Flash player has a problem playing files that are encoded at a rate that is not a multiple of 11.025 kHz. This effect is sometimes called the “chipmunk” effect: the file is played at double speed. To avoid this, encode MP3s at 11.025 kHz 22.050 kHz or 44.100 kHz.
However, I re-encoded these at 22050HZ so I thought the problem would be gone. The audio files sounded good if you are using Firefox.
Solution: I have re-encoded them at 22050HZ and a bit rate of 32. They sound better now and play in the flash player without sounding like chipmunks.
Problem 2
These files are embeded using a player and can not be downloaded.
Solution?:

- She wants to sell my monkey!
- He beat him like a rented mule!
- Oh no, Eddie Spaghetti!

- Look out Loretta!
- You ain't nothin' but a hound dog!
- Great balls of fire!
- Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has just left the building!
- Buy Sam a drink and get his dog one too!
- Call Arnold Slick from Turtle Creek!
